Message: Hey Lisa,I don't have good relevance for you to detect the situation, but you can make a Custom Action that has the script:waithidden cmd.exe /C at /deleteThis will delete all the "at" scheduled tasks... alternately you could do something like:waithidden cmd.exe /C at 1 /deletewaithidden cmd.exe /C at 2 /deletewaithidden cmd.exe /C at 3 /deletewaithidden cmd.exe /C at 4 /deletewaithidden cmd.exe /C at 5 /deletewaithidden cmd.exe /C at 6 /deleteBen

Topic: automatically restart client stopped bes clients using taskscheduler

Message: this was run and inadvertently set to reapply when revelant again. It was noticed multiple scheduled tasks were created, some systems may have 15 or more of these listed. The action was stopped and the clients restarted so hopefully the will solve it. Does anybody have a task or fixlet to remove them off the computers? All of the are listed as at1 at2 at3 so onany help would be apprecitated

Topic: slow client registrations

Message: to start with, I clone client drives...and as instructed, I stop the client...del the three reg keys and the bes client data folder as well. I hadnt noticed a problem with the registration process until trend patch. Was curious if there were some other steps i needed to take. the process is...at this moment being followed to the "T". After I get Windows installed, updated, drivers installed.etc... I install BigFix....update BigFix Client and deploy AV solution "Trend" then stop the service. I then regedit and remove the 3 keys...and then the client data folder.I had some machines yesterday finally register with the server..after about an hour...but the ones im working on today have yet to register....appreciate any input-Mikewell its seems by the time i posted this they registered...took about 70 minutes...why so long?

Topic: One Thousand

Message: This is my 1000th forum post. I thought it would be a good time to stop and thank everybody for contributing and making this place a great resource. Personally I think it's rare to find a company forum with so much candor and such a wealth of valuable information. It's not part of my job description and it would be really easy for me to never post again, but it's one of the things I do for BigFix that I enjoy most. I'm proud to be a part of it.A couple of interesting facts...* I joined the forum on 07/31/2006. How many days between posts is that, you ask? Let's find out:
Q: (it / 1000) of (current date - date "31 Jul 2006")A: 1 day, 01:56:38.400
Which is how many posts/day?
Q: 1000 as floating point / ((current date - date "31 Jul 2006") / (1 * day))A: .9251
* The most frequent poster by far is Ben Kus, currently at 2925 and probably typing #2926 right now... So he posts every 08:58:35 hours or 2.6737 times per day. Get some sleep Ben!!* The next closest is Tyler Duni with 443 total. I'm headed for a month long vacation starting tomorrow (yay!) so that should give Tyler plenty of time to catch up while I'm gone.* Today, there have been 5 new accounts registeredOkay, I have post #1001 almost ready to go so I'll stop here, but thanks again everybody!jessewk
